 Ron Grable in the factory Javelin.  Grable made his reputation in his Porsche.  At Lime Rock he was running 3rd behind Posey and Savage before stopping with heat exhaustion.
 David “Swede” Savage was the protege of Dan Gurney.  A very talented driver, his life was cut short when he died at the 1973 Indy 500.  At this race Swede was only 23 years old.
 Brit born Canadian John Cannon sits in the George Follmer Mustang.  Cannon made his way up by being fast.  Later he would drive successfully in the CanAm series and F5000 where he was champ in 1970.
 A very determined Sam Posey in the Revson Mustang.  Peter and Sam were good friends and competitors for years.  Posey was a BARC member and enjoyed our Christmas parties in Binghamton.
 The enigmatic Harry Theodoracopulos.  A wealthy shipping magnate, Harry could buy anything he wanted.  And he was pretty quick.  Today Harry is best remembered as being kicked out of Donald Trump’s Palm Beach Int’l Golf Club.
 Bob Johnson and a Penske racing crew member during a practice day.  Penske had built a 20’ high refueling rig that was supposed to use the high gravity flow for faster refueling.  It didn’t work very well and never lasted the season.
