 1960 and barc driver Ted Rounds races at the tip of Long Island in the Stickley twincam.  Note the sand all over the track.. Just a normal day at The Bridge.
 While passing Joe Giubardo’s MG, Joe cut Ted off, he hit a bale and had to stop and pull the fender out. “I should have been top 5” said Rounds.  Ted has not hit a haybale at this point.
 Rounds passes the less fortunate Alfa Romeo of Matt Kleinman who spun into this sandbank.
 1963 Double 500.  Frank Dominianni talks with his co-driver as Walt Hansgen (white jacket) and Dick Thompson (dark jacket) look on.
 1964, double 500: Sherm Decker in the Cooper-Ford.  Shem qualified an astounding 3rd.ahead of Pedro Rodriguez in a factory Ferrari and numerous other Ferrari sports racers.

 Sherm Decker was one of the bravest drivers of the time.  He loved Bridgehampton because it was fast and it was scary.  His only rival for being the master at The Bridge was Walt Hansgen.
 Decker’s Cooper was not a great car.  It let him down more often than finished.  Sherm ran 2d ahead of Rodriguez and Scarfiotti in the Ferrari’s until troubles hit.
 Decker has lapped Al Pease’s MGB leading Dan Gurney’s Cobra and one of the Ferrari’s.

 1965 USRRC: Frank Dominianni with Bobby Brown.  Frank lived and worked on Long Island and went to race in one of the preliminary events leading up to the pro race.  Bobby drove a Genie in the USRRC race.
 1965 USRRC:  This is an Italian family.  Frank wins BP and takes his Mom on the victory lap - without a windshield.
 1966 SCCA National:  Bob Bucher signals he is coming into the pits with his Woody Young Lola T-70.  The car had troubles all season.
 65 SCCA National:  Earl McMullen looks over the car.  Owner and barc member Woody Young on the right and barc founder Dave Nicholas on the left in chinos with wife Lois.
 Jake sits in the Lola and confers with Earl.  Bucher would have a good race despite problems with a new motor and clutch.  He was 3rd overall and 2nd in class.

 1966 USRRC:  Sherm Decker sits in the Bunch Lola T-70 contemplating what else will go wrong with the car.  Decker was super quick but the car rarely finished.
 1966 USRRC:  Decker flashes past the start finish line.  Sherm would qualify on the front row and lead - but not for long.
 1966 USRRC:  End of the first lap and Sherm leads eventual winner Jerry Grant’s Lola T-70.  Decker’s car would call it a day on lap 3 when the fuel tank started leading in the cockpit.

 1966 USRRC:  Sherm is not happy.  Owner John Bunch (checkered shirt) and a mechanic ask what happened.  Sherm’s wife Joan is far left.  The split fuel tank dumped on the rear tires causing Sherm to spin and do a bit of front suspension damage.
 66 USRRC:  Jerry Hansen’s heavily modified Lotus 19 dropped out after 3 laps, same as Sherm.
 1966 USRRC:  BARC president in 1966, Oscar Koveleski in his Cooper Chev.  The car was  good while on the track.  Big O put it into one of Bridgehampton’s sand banks.  But with experience from Sebring, he got it dug out and was running at the end.
 1966 USRRC:  Chuck Parsons looks sad as his Genie dropped out after only 32 laps of the scheduled 70.
 1966 USRRC:  John Morton in his Lotus 23 was quick but no match for the Porsche 906’s which dominated U2 liter.
 1966 USRRC:  Bud Morley in the #66 McLaren with one of the 6’s torn off finished 11th.
 1966 USRRC:  Oscar Koveleski and George Wintersteen talk things over.  George ran his Corvette Gran Sport.
