A two car team for 1961 and the factory is back to using coupes rather than roadsters with hardtops a la 1960 and
although the chassis are twin cams, the motors are the
good old reliable pushrod 4 cyl.

Success is theirs as #44 driven by Jack Flaherty and Jim Parkinson win GT1.6 and finish 14th O.A. with the British duo of Peter Riley and John Whitmore 2d in class and 16th.

Biggest success was beating the factory Sunbeam
Alpine team that came to crush MG.

Both cars are beautifully restored today and are active in vintage events in the US and in Australia.
